How to get your skin back in shape after the summer?
After coming back from your holidays, you noticed that your skin became more dry and dehydrated? You can start applying moisturizing masks on your skin, such as the fragrance-free Paula´s Choice Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask, or the Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque. They will soothe your skin, restore your skin´s moisture level and protective barrier, and diminish fine lines and wrinkles. If you prefer to take the natural path, I have prepared some old, natural, DIY tricks that will help you get your dry and/or dehydrated skin back in form after the summer. :)
So, here we go :)
1. Chamomile compress
Apply cold chamomile tea compresses every evening on your face for 15 minutes to half an hour. It will restore skins moisture level and fat, and simultaneously sooth any rashes, irritations or sunburns. Apply it every evening up to a month. Be careful if you are allergic to chamomile!
2. Apply a home-made moisturizing mask
After you´ve taken off the compresses, twice weekly apply a natural homemade facial mask that consists of 3 tablespoons of cottage cheese, 1 egg yolk and 2 tablespoons of milk. Apply a thick layer of the mask on your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash away with cold water. This mask is loaded with vitamins and minerals that will add nutrients and moisture to your skin, plus cottage cheese and milk contain lactic acid that will gently exfoliate your skin. After taking off the mask, your skin will look refreshed, healthy and glowing! :)

3. Apply a richer cream
If your skin is still dry and dehydrated apply a richer cream day and night. For example, if you are usually using Avene Light, switch to Avene Rich.
4. If you want to get rid of freckles....
You shouldn´t really be trying to get rid of your freckles, but in case you wanted to try, compresses made of linden or parsley are known to help with that issue, because they act as a natural bleaching agent.
5. For rough skin
Try to get rid of rough skin on your elbows and soles by massaging it with (warm) olive oil.
